Sarah has been the planning type since the day she was born, but until she entered college had no idea that it was a career possibility. While majoring in Media Studies, a friend convinced her to join Campus Activities Board and University Programming and Activities. In both of these clubs she began planning concerts, parties, and budgets for the school. At that point she realized she could switch her major focus to events also. In 2002, she received her Bachelor’s in Communications with an emphasis in Media Production and Planning .
After school, she went on to try out a few management positions, but while planning her own wedding realized that her true passion was event planning. Her first big job in the industry was for a Chicago based special events company. This is where she learned how to not only sell, plan, and execute events, but also where she had the opportunity to see almost every venue in the suburbs and meet many industry professionals. From there, she went on to sell and plan events for caterers, a wedding production company, and a golf club. Now, with all of this experience under her belt, she knows she can handle any event that comes her way.
As your event planner, she will first get to know you as a person or couple, then get to know your style, budget, and goals. She will listen to you and your ideas, then guide you to your perfect event!
